In 1980-'81 attended the prestigious Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA and became connected to the CA songwriter scene.
Michael has been fronting and writing for the band "Blue Stew" from which three critically acclaimed CDs were produced. One of Miller's songs (Nobody's There) has since been licensed by Warner Bros. Television for their series "Elimidate".
"My Baby's Cookin'" and "Child of the Street" (penned by Miller) both reached #1 on MP3.com.
Equally at home playing electric or acoustic music, his most recent effort is his solo release, Homeward. This CD is a mix of acoustic and electric 'gospel blues' that aims straight for the heart.
Michael Paul's CD, Homeward, was nominated for Best Blues Album of 2004 by Just Plain Folks Music Organization. It was narrowed down to 8 nominees for this category from over 10,000 albums from 85 countries. The song on this album, Holes In The Wall is also nominated for Best Blues Song.
